Joshua first started acting when he was the Tortoise in a first-grade recreation of “The Tortoise and the Hare” and hasn’t stopped since. Acting led to working in Radio, and he got his Bachelors in Radio and Video Production.
Deciding that he was more interested in the creative possibilities of video, film, and television, Joshua then went on to pursue first a Masters and later a Masters of Fine Arts in Film and Television Directing.
The significant advantage of having gone to film school is that in addition to Directing, Joshua has worked as a Producer, Gaffer, Cinematographer, Camera Operator, Art Director, Casting, Editor, Sound Mixer, Boom Operator, Craft Services and numerous other jobs.
All of these skills have helped tremendously when on set, whether in front of or behind the camera. Joshua has also written over four feature-length and dozens of short scripts and is currently working on his first novel. Joshua is currently working in SC as a freelance grip and PA.
